Obituary

John Francis Hogan, 82, of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts and Pawleys Island, South Carolina, passed peacefully Wednesday afternoon, September 8, 2021, with his children by his side.
John was born in Waterbury, CT, to parents Howard Hogan, Sr. and Katherine “Kitty” Hogan. He’s departed to be with his wife, “Judy”, who passed in 2014 after 45 years of marriage. He worked for many years in Management at UPS and Yellow Freight Systems. He and Judy called Pawleys home for 15 years where his love for golf was practiced in life and work.
He leaves his children, Kelley Hogan McLamb of Asheville North Carolina, Jennifer Hogan Mahoney and Rich Mahoney of Woburn, Massachusetts, and John Hogan and Dorie Hogan of Waltham, Massachusetts. He leaves six grandchildren who affectionately called him “Bobo” and were his legacy and the lights of his life. Sawyer, the eldest of the grandchildren, resides in Charlotte and shares Bobo’s talent and passion for baseball. Hogan, an accomplished actor, who Bobo loved to watch perform, resides in Asheville, North Carolina. Evan, a Sophomore at Malden Catholic High School, is a skilled hockey goaltender and avid golfer. Nate, a 7th grader at St Charles school in Woburn, has a passion and talent for baseball and golf. Lucy, a Sophomore at Arlington Catholic, is a gifted dancer and softball player. Rosie, who attends 6th grade at St Agnes in Arlington, is a great dancer and hockey player. They are all reminiscent of John, as well as Judy, if not only for their fiery spirits and talents, but for their witty humor as well.
John is survived by his sister Carol Hogan of Waterbury CT and was preceded in death by his three brothers: Howard Jr, Ed, and Billy.
Arrangements have not been determined at this time.
