Brenda May Kodash, 79, of Litchfield, NH passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born on September 6, 1942, a daughter of Paul and Ruth Whitney and grew up in Belmont, MA. She enjoyed a wonderful circle of friends and travelling, especially to Peaks Island, ME. She also took pride in her hobbies such as boating, swimming, and playing tennis. Brenda adored her family and was lovingly nicknamed “Nana Banana” by her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet, three grandchildren, Nicole, Tyler and Michael, brother Joel Whitney and his wife Mary Lynn, sister Paula Wood and her husband David, sister-in-law Shirlene Kodash and several nieces and nephews. Brenda was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Robert L. Kodash, her son Robbie Kodash and her brother-in-law, Donald Kodash.
To my mum and friend, I have many wonderful memories to cherish forever. I am forever grateful to give you my last loving gift, for you to be home surrounded by family and friends these past weeks. Peaks Island won’t be the same without you and Dad. You are now with Dad and Robbie, watching over me in spirit. Following cremation, there will be a private family burial at a later date. Donations in Brenda’s memory may be made to American Cancer Society. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry is in charge of the arrangements.
