Obituary

SANFORD- Carol Dame August 31st 1953 –September 6th 2021, my wife of 50+ incredible years passed from pancreatic cancer on Sept. 6,2021 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarbourgh.

Carol was only 17 when we met in Lowell, Mass. We got married on her 18th birthday and from that day on we were so happy! She had only one wish for the two of us and that was to make it to our 50th anniversary which was on 8/31. She fought so hard for over her last two weeks just so she could get this wish for her and I. She made it happen for us 50 years of nothing but love and joy . Our whole family thought the world of this sweet lady , What a gift we were given. Her proud parents were Armand and Irene Boissoneault of Lowell. 3 brothers and sister.

We were given two wonderful daughters Kami and Harmony and they blessed us with Keegan, Kaleigh and Kyler which were the children of Kami and Karl Mace also Niklas, and Emma St Croix The children of Rob St Croix and Harmony Bara as well as another boy Rocco Bara which is the son of Harmony & Rob Bara.

Carol loved tending to her birds, filling all the bird feeders also feeding her little friend Chippy the little chipmunk that would appear on the back deck anxiously waiting for her to give him some food

I could tell you about where she went to school and all that but those of you who knew Carol already know all that. We wanted to talk about the kind of person Carol is and how much she meant to me and my family. 50 years went by in a matter of seconds.

Carol’s ashes will be scattered along with her husband Greg when his time comes to pass along with a private family gathering. Online condolence messages are available at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service website, www.mainefuneral.com

We’re here for a little while and then we’re gone (Bruce Springsteen)

They all treated Carol with such love and care. Always tending to her every need. while I got to be by her side holding her hand and talking to her as she quietly drifted away
