Obituary

Tom was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many.

He was the first child of Thomas and Christine Heinz and was a lifelong resident of Medford.

To his three kids Tom never let a school trip go unchaperoned; a
Halloween that the kids were not over dressed and over fed with the right amount of face paint. There was never a school play that was unattended, and somehow all three kids got to whatever event they needed to at the right place and on Heinz time with all the extra layers of clothing they may or may not have needed.

Tom was a part of the Massachusetts soccer community for over 30 years, a coach and board member with Medford soccer. Tom was a referee, an assigner, mentor and instructor for the United States Soccer Federation. There wasn’t a role he didn’t fill or life he didn’t touch in the Massachusetts soccer community.

Tom is survived his loving wife Carolyn of 40 years, his son Tommy, his daughter Samantha and her husband Michael Corcoran, his daughter Meaghan and her husband Anthony Verdone and his granddaughter Emilia. His Brother Billy and his wife Cassie Heinz, his brother Christopher and his wife Valerie Heinz and his brother David and his wife Jessica Heinz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins and his best friend Ray Halloran Sr.
