Gina L. (Marcotte) Carney, 54 of Lowell, passed away after a courageous 3 year battle with cervical cancer on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of Jeffrey P. Carney with whom she would have celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary this month.
She was born in Boston on January 10, 1967 and grew up in Brewster Mass where she graduated from Cape Cod Technical High School. She was a communicant of St. Margaret of Scotland Parish.
Gina loved being a mother, sister and grandmother, she enjoyed time spent with her family making memories. She also loved traveling to the White Mountains and the beach. She was an animal lover and will be remembered for being the dog whisperer. Gina was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Bruins fan.
In addition to her husband, Jeff of Lowell, she is survived by three sons, Darren Marcotte and his wife, Jessica of Chelmsford, Nick Marcotte of Manchester, NH, and Joseph Carney of Lowell; her grandchildren, Emma Scalzi, Charlotte Marcotte, Olivia Marcotte, and Mia Perkins. She is also survived by her sister, Maria Marcotte of Canton and many cousins and friends.
