Obituary

M. Louise Cote, 84, died peacefully, September 4, 2021 at the Sunrise Senior Living of Leominster following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Manchester NH on May 19, 1937 the daughter of Louis P. and Irene (Courchesne) Cote and a graduate of St. Anthony H.S., Class of 1955.
She is survived by her sister, Pauline G. (Cote) Viau, and her husband, Paul J. Viau, of Fitchburg, MA, her 3 nieces, Elizabeth A. (Viau) Schmal and husband Donald, of Roswell, GA., Elaine M. (Viau) Chapman and husband William, of Royalston, MA, and Theresa L. (Viau) Brassard and husband Bob, of Leominster, MA as well as seven great nieces and nephews.
Louise worked for over 40 years for New England Bell where she retired as an accounting manager. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Pius X Church of Manchester and a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish of Bedford.
Louise loved to travel but gave the love of her life to her dogs. She bred Collies and Shelties for several decades under the prefix “Caprice” and had multiple AKC Champions over the years in both breeds. Louise enjoyed spending time with her dogs, attending dog shows, club meetings and educational events. She was an active member of a few breed clubs, held office for each, and served them diligently. Those being the Collie Club of New England, Collie Club of New Hampshire, and the Colonial Shetland Sheepdog Club and was also a member of the Collie Club of America, and The Quarter Century Collie Group. In 1999 a beautiful Collie that Louise had bred won Best of Breed at the Collie Club of America National Specialty Show.
Calling hours will take place on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., Manchester, NH.
A mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 am in St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Rd., Manchester, NH
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd. in Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association can be made in honor of Louise.
