Obituary

Marjorie S. (Morse) Wheeler 86, of Needham died on Thursday April 6, 2006 at the Stone Institute in Newton. A native of Newton, Marjorie grew up in Newton where she graduated from Newton High School. She was married in 1938 to Harold G. Wheeler Jr. and moved to Needham in 1940 and remained here and raised her seven children. While in Needham Marjorie and her husband were very active and one of the founders of the of the Needham Senior Center at the Stephen Palmer. She taught knitting , arts and crafts and was very active with elderly and taught the disabled how to cane chairs. Marjorie was also a longtime member of the Christ Episcopal Church. Marjorie was married for 42 years before Harold died in 1980. She is survived by her children; Henry and his wife Margaret Wheeler of Needham, Judith and her husband Thomas Crosman of Bourne, Lewis “Sandy” and his wife Dorothy Wheeler of Rochester, Steven and his wife Karen Wheeler of Franklin, Donna A. King of Needham, Merry and her husband Wayne Jennings of Newbury and Joyce and her husband William Banister of SC. Marjorie is also survived by her 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at the Christ Episcopal Church Chapel 1132 Highland Ave Needham on Monday April 10th at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Sunday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are being made to the Needham Senior Center 83 Pickering St. Needham MA 02492 and to the Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Fund 1132 Highland Ave Needham MA 02492.
