FALL RIVER – Carlos M. Viveiros, age 85, passed away on September 1, 2021, at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Ines (Vieira) Viveiros of 59 years. Born in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Alvaro and Maria (Andrade) Viveiros. Prior to retirement Carlos was part of the management team of Plymouth Rubber for over 35 years. Carlos enjoyed nature, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons Paul Viveiros and spouse Lisa of Westfield, MA and Robert Viveiros and spouse Ilda of Somerset, MA. Carlos is survived by siblings Eliana Raposo, John Viveiros, Herbert Viveiros, and Mary Correia; he also leaves behind a brother in-law, 2 sister in-laws, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Joseph Raposo.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday, September 7th at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
