Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Mrs. Shamp died Thursday morning at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Machias, Maine, daughter of the late Adelberth and Etta C. (Bagley) Garnett. She had been a Brockton resident for over 32 years.
She had been employed as a sales clerk for Marell Jewelers in Walpole and Kings Dept. Store in Brockton. She was a member of DAV Auxiliary and the VFW Post 1046 Auxiliary, Brockton and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary in Everett and Brockton.She was an avid Bingo player and also enjoyed bowling at the Westgate Lanes. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church She is survived by a son Alan H.
