Paul A. Costello of Needham and North Falmouth, died April 8, 2006 at the Wingate Nursing Home in Needham. He was 90. Mr. Costello was a WW II Army Veteran serving from 1941-1945. During that time he took part in the campaigns of Tunisia, Italy, France and Germany, in which he was awarded six Battle Stars. He was a former member of the Needham Exchange Club and worked as the Vice President of the Daniel Mordecai Company of Natick.
He was the beloved husband of Miriam (Sheenan) Costello for 59 years. He was the devoted father of Paul A. Costello Jr. and his wife Judith W. of Westwood, Anne M. Costello of Methuen, Peter F. Costello and his wife Marilyn M. of East Sandwich and Jane M. Costello of Needham. Also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandson. Brother of the late Barbara Crass, Francis Costello, Virginia Duncan, Robert Costello and Marilyn Lehmann.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave. Needham (exit 19B off 128) Tuesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Needham, at 10:00 AM. Visitation Tuesday morning prior to the mass 8:00 – 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.
