Mr. Eric M. Tammik, 77 of Methuen, passed away peacefully at his home on August 27, 2021. The son of the late Edwin and Jeanette (LaFleur) Tammik, he was born at Chelsea Naval Hospital on November 18, 1943, and was a long-time resident of Merrimac, MA. Eric enjoyed cooking, fishing, foraging for wild mushrooms and gardening. He earned his pilot’s license at the age of 65 and was a friend of Bill for 30 years. Eric had a successful career working as a union carpenter doing mostly fine finish and cabinetry work. He is survived by his loving wife Marjorie (Allen) Tammik of Methuen, two daughters; Robyn and her husband Paul Soo Hoo of Salem, MA; Gretchen and her husband Scott Freeman of Haverhill, MA; as well as two sons; Joseph Tammik and his wife Amy of Barrington, NH; and Daniel Tammik with his wife Kerrin of Ashby, MA. He is also survived by two sisters: Bette and her husband Timothy Flaherty of Franklin, NH and Heidi with her husband Richard Synnott of Quechee, VT. Eric was pre-deceased by his sister Roberta Tammik. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd., Dracut, MA.
