Linda M. (Wentzell) Prew, age 58, of North Attleboro, formerly of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, following a short illness on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Herbert A. Prew, Jr., to whom she was wed on May 3, 1985.

Born in Attleboro, MA on October 25, 1962, she was a loving daughter of Roy A. Wentzell of Plainville and the late Thelma A. (Walker) Wentzell.

Linda grew up in Mansfield, was a 1980 graduate of Mansfield High School and attended Northeastern University. She was an Assistant Manager at North Easton Savings Bank, where she had been employed for the past seven years and for the past thirty-one years, proudly assisted her husband in the operation of Prew Landscaping.

A resident of North Attleboro for the past two years, Linda was a former lifelong resident of Mansfield, a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield and a member of the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce.

Linda’s happiest times by far, were those spent in the presence of her loving family. While her sons were growing up, she attended all of their sporting events and more recently was there to support and cheer them on while they participated in Marathons. She loved the New England Patriots, especially when Tom Brady was at the helm and had a special fondness for Hallmark Christmas stories and trips to Plymouth, for a delicious lobster roll, at her favorite restaurant, the East Bay Grille.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her devoted sons: Mark A. Prew and his wife Kelsey of North Attleboro and Michael A. Prew of North Attleboro. She was the dear sister of Stephen C. Wentzell and his longtime companion Gloria of Ayer, John A. Wentzell and his wife Cathy of Cumberland, RI, Daniel R. Wentzell of Taunton and Eric J. Wentzell and his longtime companion Jay of Mansfield. She was the cherished sister-in-law of Pamela A. St. John of North Attleboro, who was pre-deceased by her husband Robert St. John, Sr. She was the loving niece of George Walker of Mansfield, who was pre-deceased by his wife Cathy Walker. She is also survived by her treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as her grand dog “Lillie”.
