Eleanor E. (Mayo) Sjostrom, 94, of Salem, NH died at her home on Friday. She had lived in Salem, NH for 54 years, previously living in Amesbury and Haverhill, MA.
She was born in Castine, ME and grew up and was educated in Haverhill, MA. Eleanor worked as a receptionist and switchboard operator at the Salem Town Hall for many years. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Salem, NH, a member of the Eastern Star and a past member of the Salem Garden Club.
She loved spending time in Castine, ME and with her family and dear friends. She enjoyed the ocean, swimming, dancing, and gardening.
She was the widow of John W. Sjostrom.

11 Grandchildren, Several Great Grandchildren
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday from 10AM – 12 Noon, followed by a Memorial Service at 12 Noon at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Kingston, NH.
