Obituary

EAST LONGMEADOW – Keith K. Barthelette, 53, of East Longmeadow, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. He passed suddenly but peacefully at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on October 20, 1967, a beloved son of Ronald R. and Jacqueline L. (Mainville) Barthelette of South Hadley. He was raised in the Fairview section of Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and moved to East Longmeadow in 2000. He was the owner and operator of Vanguard Mold Remediation on Bay Street in Springfield for many years. He was a communicant of Saint Michael Church in East Longmeadow. During his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing, hunting with his son, Devon, riding his Harley and swimming in his pool with his dogs. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. In addition to his beloved parents, he leaves his loving wife and best friend, Pamela A. (Bates) Barthelette. They were married on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1992 and were blessed with over 29 years of happiness together. He also leaves his four loving sons, Michael K. Barthelette and his fiancée, Jillian O’Melia, of Atlanta, GA, Taylor M. Barthelette and his fiancée, Reilly Williams, of Enfield, CT, Connor J. Barthelette of East Longmeadow and Devon R. Barthelette of East Longmeadow; his dear brother, Ronald R. Barthelette, Jr. of Chicopee; his dear sister, Christina Lever and her husband, Brian, and their daughter, Julie Lever, all of Medford, MA; his dear mother in law, Violeta (Armas) St. Germain of South Windsor, CT; his dear brother in law, Erwin Bates and his wife, Lora, and their children, Pierce and Julia, all of Ludlow; and his many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. He will also be deeply missed by his beloved canine companions, his dogs Bruna and Debo. His Funeral will be on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.) followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His Burial will be private. His family will receive friends on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral home parking lot is located in the rear. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Daniel Federici Memorial Fund, 19 Hampden Road, East Longmeadow, MA 01028 to benefit East Longmeadow High School Scholarship Recipients.
