Adeline Farrington (Pear) Davis died on Friday March 31st at the Cape Cod Hospital. She was 91 years old. Mrs. Davis was a longtime Needham resident before moving to Chatham and South Yarmouth 19 years ago. She attended Framingham Teachers College and taught at the Carroll School in West Newton. Mrs. Davis was active in her church life, was an avid bridge player, a member of the Needham Golf Club and a longtime Girl Scout leader. The beloved wife for 64 years of Edward L. Davis, she was the dear mother of Richard W. Davis and his wife Gail of Needham, Deborah Sturgis and her husband Carl of Longmeadow and Gail Lowe and her husband Stephen of West Hartford, CT. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A Memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 650 Main Street, Chatham on Saturday, April 22nd at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment at Needham Cemetery is private.
