LOWELL: Jesse “Jay” LaBonte, age 46, a resident of Lowell for 20 years, died, Thursday, April 6, 2006 at home, following an apparent heart attack.
He was the husband of Suzan (O’Brien) LaBonte, with whom he celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on September 28th.
Born in Lowell on June 25, 1959, he was the beloved son of Jesse R. and Winifred (Gillis) LaBonte, who survive him of Tewksbury.
Mr. LaBonte was raised in Tewksbury.
He attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1977.
Following graduation, he attended Middlesex Community College and later graduated from Bunker Hill Community College.
Mr. LaBonte was currently as a computer programmer for the Precision Solutions Company of Walpole. He previously worked as a programmer for the TJX and Marcam Companies.
Mr. LaBonte was an active member of the Lowell Assembly of God Church, where he taught Sunday school, served in the Psalm Ministry, the Royal Rangers Youth Group, and played his bass guitar for Sunday services.
He enjoyed many activities especially restoring his 1968 Ford Bronco.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by one daughter; Christian E. LaBonte of Lowell; his mother-in-law; Katherine O’Brien of El Cajon, CA; his sister-in-law; Maureen Minner of El Cajon, CA; his brother-in-law; Joseph O’Brien and his wife Lisa of South Boston; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service Monday, April 10th, 10 a.m., at the Lowell Assembly of God Church, 995 Andover St., Rte. 133, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery.
