Obituary

Frederick Albert “Rick” Labedz, Jr., age 66, of Americus, GA, formerly of Winchester, passed away at his residence on August 17, 2021. Born July 7, 1955 in on Staten Island, NY, he was the son of Margaret “Margie” (Amicangioli) Labedz. the late Frederick Albert Labedz Sr. He was raised in Winchester and served in the United States Marine Corps., obtaining the rank of Sergeant. He was honorably discharged on February 9, 1978. Mr. Labedz was a deeply spiritual man that honored God and cherished his family alike. He adored his children, loved his siblings and mother, and always doted on his dogs.

Rick is lovingly survived by his children: Ashley J. Labedz of Americus, GA, and Christopher P. Labedz of Plains, GA; a sister, Nicky Labedz- Maenpaa of MA, and a brother and sister-in-law Robert Labedz (Kathleen) of Pennsylvania. He was the uncle of Dawn M. Breen, Heather Schirmer, Katie Labedz-Pettit, Ami Labedz, and Charles Labedz, and is further survived by 7 great-nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester on Monday, August 31 @ 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Masks are required to be worn. Burial is private.
