Obituary

Mr. Roland W. Gamache, 96, of New Braunfels, TX passed away on August 15, 2021 at Cypress Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in San Marcos, TX. Born in Lynn on October 4, 1924, Mr. Gamache is the son of the late Romeo and Eva (Caron) Gamache. He moved to Lawrence, MA in 1961 and lived there until moving to Texas in 2014. He served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Gamache was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Augustine Church, Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 67 in Lawrence, Fourth Degree Knight of the Fr. James O’Donnell Assembly #393, and a Methuen Rod and Gun Club member. The widower of Jeannette (Gagne) Gamache and his second wife Dorothy (Willette) Gamache he is also pre-deceased by his sister Theresa Laferriere of Merrimack, NH and brother Dorell Gamache of West Newbury, MA. Mr. Gamache is survived by one sister Rita Richard of Tulsa, OK, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on September 4, 2021, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd, Dracut, MA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on September 4, 2021, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Theresa Church in Methuen, burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover.
