Joseph H. Cogliano Jr. of Sharon passed away August 18th. Born in Brockton, he was raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School where he was a star basketball player. He went on to attend Northeastern University and worked for many years in the Sheet Metal Industry for Norwood Sheet Metal and Highview Heating & Air Conditioning in Walpole. Joe has lived in Sharon since 1994 and enjoyed playing basketball, softball and bowling and was a former member of the Canton Town Club. Father of Joelle Cogliano of Taunton. Grandfather of Jessica Smith and her partner Joshua Satcher of Taunton. Great grandfather of Juliana Satcher. Son of the late Dorothy (Missler) and Joseph H. Cogliano, Sr. Brother of Dianne M. Lane and her husband Richard, Michael T. Cogliano and his wife Janet & Maura A. McNeice and her husband John all of Canton. He was predeceased by his fiancé Anne Bernazzani. Also survived by his former wife Paula Cogliano (Rizzo) of Taunton. Funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday morning at 9:45. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 pm. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
