WORCESTER-Bruce Walker, Jr., 69, of 707 Main Street, died Thursday, July 25th in the University of Massachusetts Healthcare-University Campus after an illness. He leaves his first wife, Anna (Greenleaf) Walker of Worcester; a son Bruce Walker III of Worcester; 2 daughters, Diane M. Gilardez and Gail A. Burroughs both of Worcester; his care taker and best friend, Martin Barr of Worcester; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. His second wife, Theresa (James) Walker predeceased him and his grandson, Vincent Baltrusaitas died in 1994.
He was born in Worcester the son of Bruce Walker, Sr. and Elsie (Clark) Walker and lived here all of his life. He attended Worcester schools. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Walker worked as a baker for Town Talk Bakery in Worcester for 15 years. He also worked as a machine operator for Donahue Industries, Inc. in Shrewsbury for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 27th, in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, July 26th from 7:00 until 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
