Obituary


Brian T. McClellan, age 54, of Woburn, MA, passed away on August 6, 2021 at his home unexpectedly. Born in Tewksbury, MA, he was the son of the late James F. and Blanche M. (LaMothe) McClellan and godson of the late John and Claire Shannon.

He worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an EHS Help Desk Analyst. Before this position, he worked at various medical centers as an IT desktop support consultant. He also worked at Vinfen Corporation where he assisted the disabled patients who suffered from mental health and traumatic brain injuries. He was a graduate of ITT Technical Institute earning an Associate's Degree in Computer Network Systems and a graduate from the University of Massachusetts with a B.A. degree of Management of Human Service.

Brian enjoyed the trips he made to Maui and California with his former fiancé, Anna Stranieri and her family, Frankie, Sammy and their father Tony as well as trips to visit family and friends in Buffalo, NY. He loved to sing and do karaoke at the local Moose Lodge in Woburn where he was a member and also enjoyed the camaraderie and helping out on Sunday mornings serving breakfast at the lodge. His favorite music was by Led Zepplin, U2 and Pearl Jam. Brian enjoyed his cat Sonny, cooking and barbequing, the Halloween parade and the south end neighborhood. He loved all of the Boston sports teams and the Buffalo Bills.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Stephen McClellan of Columbus, OH, Kevin McClellan of Williamsville, NY, Cheryl Smith of Woodbridge, VA, Gail and Bill Zimnoch of Denver, PA, Daniel and Renata McClellan of Williamsville, NY and David McClellan also of Williamsville, NY. Brian was also the brother of the late Dennis McClellan formerly of Buffalo, NY. Brian is further survived by his aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at McLaughlin-Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant Street, Woburn, MA Saturday, August 21st, at 2 p.m. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Brian will then be carried home to Williamsville, NY to be buried with his parents where a separate memorial service will be held. A date is yet to be determined. May you R.I.P. little brother. We love you and miss you.
