Robert A. “Bob” DiPietro, age 78, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, after an extended illness. He was born in the West End of Boston and graduated from Malden High school in 1963.
Bob started his career at a very early age with the Leonard Silver Co. He was mentored by his dear friend and boss Leonard Florence. Bob held many positions in sales and finished his career there as Vice President of sales and operations for Syratech Corporation. Upon retirement he worked for Cafe Escadrille in Burlington.
Bob had an extreme love for music, cars, and travel. However it was His family and friends that gave him the most joy.
He is lovingly survived by his wife Janice ( Ruvido) of almost 53 years, a son Robert Jr., a daughter Adrienne (Ernest) and his favorite son- in- law Bob, three granddaughters, Skylar Martin, Allyse and Francesca Ernest, and his new great granddaughter Cartia Martin. He is predeceased by his parents Armando and Josephine (Gargiulo) and in-laws John and Virginia (Pecorella) Ruvido. He was the cherished brother of Brother of Jay DiPietro and his wife Sharon of Delray Beach, FL, Joseph DiPietro of Myrtle Beach, SC, Angela Lombardi and her husband Arthur of Gainesville, GA, Richard DiPietro of Delray Beach, FL, honorary brother Bruce Rowe of Myrtle Beach, SC, and the late Frank DiPietro and his surviving wife Marsha, Pat DiPietro and his surviving wife Cammy. Brother-in-law of Cynthia Perrone. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday, at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. William Church, 1351 Main St., TEWKSBURY, Wednesday, August 18th, at 10:30 a.m. (please go directly to the church). Services will conclude with entombment at St. Mary Cemetery, Methuen.
