Obituary

WEBSTER – Dorothy (Drapeau) Belleville, 92, of 54 Morris Street, died Monday, April 3, in Webster Manor. Her husband, George A. Belleville, died in 1993.

She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Donald G. and Nancy E. Belleville of Plano, TX; a son-in-law, Andrew Pryga of Webster; 4 grandchildren, Alan Pryga, Andrea Peck, Melissa Lurio and Donald Belleville; 5 great grandchildren, Timothy, Kimberly and Daniel Peck, Kyle Pryga and Mathilde Lurio; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Jean C. Belleville and Irene Pryga.

She was born in Woonsocket, RI, and raised in Uxbridge, the daughter of Louis and M. Laura (Lavallee) Drapeau. She lived in East Hartford and moved to the Dudley-Webster area in the early 1950’s.

Mrs. Belleville was a sales clerk at W.T. Grant Company for many years. She then was a cafeteria aide at St. Joseph Elementary School in N. Grosvenordale, CT, until she retired.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a member of its Ladies of Saint Anne. She enjoyed knitting and reading.

The funeral will be held Saturday, April 8, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Whitinsville. A calling hour will be from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Saturday, April 8, in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to the Sacred Heart Church, 18 East Main St., Webster, MA 01570, for the ministry to the elderly and homebound.
