LIMERICK- William Czyrnik, age 90, passed peacefully at home with his daughters on Tuesday August 11, 2021. Born on August 17, 1930 in Johnstown PA, son of the late Anthony and Mary Czyrnik, William was raised and educated in Johnstown PA. William proudly served in the Korean War and Berlin Airlift with the US Air Force. He worked in Fairfield County CT for many years and retired from Remington Arms. A committed and caring husband, father, and grandfather, he particularly enjoyed his time spent with family and friends.
William‘s survivors include two loving daughters, Kathy Czyrnik of Tavares FL and Nancy von York of Limerick ME, and their respective husbands, David Horowitz and George von York, six grandchildren (and their spouses) Rebecca Czyrnik, Joshua Horowitz, Benjamin Horowitz (Stephanie Ger), Alexander von York, Andrew von York and Elizabeth Hamilton (Luke), and many nieces and nephews. William was predeceased by his beloved wife Evelyn Miklus Czyrnik. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.
