Standish – David “Dave” Arnold Perry, age 73, passed away on August 10, 2021, at his home after a courageous battle with many health issues.
He was born in Portland, Maine on November 17, 1947, a son of late Chester Perry and his beloved mother Lila Perry of Standish. After completing 12th grade from Bonny Eagle High School, David went into the Navy and served 4 years.
He was married to and divorced Kathy Blomquist. He had a son David Arnold Perry Jr. with Kathy. After divorcing Kathy he married his second wife Rose Ann Myers. He had two children with Rose, a daughter Tammy Lee Perry and a son Dana Roy Perry.
He had several jobs over the years: security guard, videotape town meetings for the town of Standish, and even tried his hand at starting a karaoke place.
He loved to write poems and songs, giving his grandchildren tractor rides, talking on his ham radio as KB1MVR, working on computer and spending time with his friends and family.
He is predeceased by his father Chester Perry, his cousin Allen Bradeen Sr., his aunt Beverly Bradeen and Uncle Clayton Bradeen. He is also predeceased by his two best friends Tim and Bill.
He is survived by his ex-wife Kathy, his beloved wife Rose, his children David Perry, Tammy Perry and Dana Perry, his son Dana Perry’s ex-wives Theresa and Felicia, his son Dana’s current wife Katie, his brother Chester Perry and several nieces and nephews. His grandchildren are Dana II, Emily, Kayden, Jonathan, Liam, Alivia and Mason.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday August 18th at 1pm at Dow Corner Cemetery.
A graveside service will US NAVY Honors will be performed on Wednesday Aug. 18, at 1 PM at Dow's Corner Cemetery in Standish.
