Loving fiancée of Mary Patricia Driscoll, son of Geraldine and the late Ralph Niland, Sr., father of Lynda Niland and her fiancé, Thomas Dietzel of Roslindale, and Thomas Michael Niland, Jr. of Dedham, brother of Ralph and his wife Anita Niland of Norwood, Nancy Rice of Walpole, and Kathleen and her husband Andrew Mortali of Walpole, beloved “Papa” of Julia Dietzel, and “Tom-Tom” to Kyleen, Miley, AJ, and Claire, loved by so many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Tom was happiest when fishing, watching Boston sports teams, and spending time with his family. His laugh was contagious and his sense of humor never waned. He fought a courageous battle with cancer for the last 15 months with his family by his side. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Friday, August 13th at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church at 10 o’clock.
