Obituary

Kyle W. Shapiro a member of the junior class at Needham High School died suddenly on Monday April 3rd at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital on Needham. He was 17 years old. Born in Newton, Kyle attended the Hillside Elementary School, Pollard Middle School and Needham High School. He played baseball for Needham Little League and Pop Warner Football. At Needham High School he played tight end for the football team and was starting his second season as shortstop for the varsity baseball team. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 14 baseball team. In addition to his passion for baseball, Kyle enjoyed music and spending time with his many friends. He was the cherished son of Ruth M. Bonsignore and Andrew I. Shapiro and the loving brother of Daniel N. and Ruben D. Shapiro. Dear grandson of Fenna Lee Bonsignore of Leverett, MA and John J. Bonsignore of Amherst and Dorothy L Shapiro of Boston and Dr. Jordan L. Shapiro of Brookline. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in St Joseph Church 1360 Highland Ave Needham on Saturday April 8th at 12:00 Noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Friday 4-8 Pm. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Kyle’s name may be made to the Town of Needham Memorial Park Fund in memory of Kyle W. Shapiro, 1471 Highland Ave Needham MA 02492 and to the Needham Public School Scholarship Fund in memory of Kyle W. Shapiro, 1330 Highland Ave Needham MA 02492.
