MOULTONBOROUGH ----- Elizabeth M. Tremblay, 78, passed to eternity on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Concord Hospital surrounded by her family.
Elizabeth was born October 28, 1942, to Mildred and Dewey Aldrich in Lowell, MA. She attended Lowell High School and had an active social life. She married the love of her life, Larry Tremblay, in 1960, and they went to raise six children together.
Elizabeth enjoyed many things; she loved jewelry and clothes and was always the best dressed at any occasion. She was an avid antique collector and had many rare items in her possession, and with her amazing memory, could tell you exactly where it came from and what year it was made. Elizabeth loved crosswords, crime novels, and Farkle, which she and Larry played together daily. But most of all, she loved her family. Elizabeth loved to spend time with her children and was her grandchildren's biggest supporter in all of their endeavors. She knew how to listen without judgment to all of their dreams and problems, and was the most generous and loving grandma anyone could ask for. She was versatile; from decorating an entire wedding single-handedly to gutting a fish. Elizabeth knew how to get things done and make it look easy. She made everything fun with her flair for the dramatics; singing old songs or reciting Mother Goose poems from heart. Whenever you were with her, you knew that everything would be okay as she recited her life motto, "This too shall pass."
Even though the family is happy knowing that Elizabeth is in a better place, there is nothing that can fill the void that she left in their hearts.
She will be greatly missed and is survived by her children, Larry Tremblay, Jr. and Kelly Fox; Chris and Mary-Ellen Tremblay; Michael Tremblay and Michael Wilcox; Ben Tremblay; Victoria (Tremblay) Lahey; Gordon and Rebecca (Tremblay) Bult, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, her brother Richard Waterhouse and sisters Dorothy Dionne and Millie Millie.
The funeral will be held at 263 Winaukee Road, Moultonborough, NH, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at the Aldrich Family Cemetery in Moultonborough.
Flowers can be sent to 263 Winaukee Road, Moultonborough, NH 03254.
