CHELMSFORD: George N. Langill, age 68, a resident of Chelmsford, for the past 3 years, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell.
He was the husband of Paula (Marciello) Langill, with whom he celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary on August 2, 2005.
Born in Woburn on January 3, 1938, he was the son of the late Robert and Irene (Chase) Langill.
Mr. Langill was raised in Billerica and Lowell.
He attended Lowell Public Schools.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an attendant at the Old Indian Springs at the Whiffle Tree in Billerica, where he worked for 13 years. Mr. Langill previously worked as a self employed carpenter.
He previously lived in Billerica for over 15 years until moving to Chelmsford in 2003.
Mr. Langill enjoyed playing his guitar and writing and performing country music.
In addition, he was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son; Shawn E. Marciello and his wife Sharon (Parcella) of Dracut; one daughter; Kathleen Warchol-Matthews and her husband Tim of Amherst, NH; six grandchildren; Amanda, Isabella, Ricky, Dougie, Austin and Melanie; one brother; Kenny Langill of Billerica; one sister; Evelyn Maille and her husband Jerry of Lowell; his mother-in-law; Pauline (Black) Marciello of Tewksbury; two brothers-in-law; Louis Marciello, Jr. of North Carolina and Kenneth Marciello and his wife Linda of Billerica; a sister-in-law; Ann (Marciello)Doucette and her husband Mark of Billerica; many nieces and nephews; and his Yorkshire Terrier; Angel.
Mr. Langill was the brother of the late Bette Baker and Robert Langill, Jr., father-in-law of the late Mitchell Warchol and son-in-law of the late Louis Marciello, Sr.
Calling hours Friday, April 7th, 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral service Saturday, April 8th, 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery.
