Beaulieu of Brockton April 4, 2006, Mildred E. (Brawders) Beaulieu, 87 years. Former wife of the late Edmund “Duke” Beaulieu. Mother of Richard A. Beaulieu and his wife Lois of Stoughton, Edmond A. Beaulieu and his wife Maureen of Marshfield Joanne M. Hathaway and her husband George of Mashpee. Sister of Margaret Renaud of Whitman, Robert F. Brawders of Springfield and the late Anastasia Darling and John G. Brawders, Jr. Grandmother of Michael Hathaway of Worcester; Alan Beaulieu of Kingston; David Beaulieu of Marshfield; Pamela Durand of Carver; Christine Beaulieu Dunn of Marshfield; Robbie Beaulieu of Lincoln, Maine and Ryan Hathaway of W. Palm Beach, Florida. She also leaves 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Route 123)Brockton Saturday at 8am Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish(St. Colman)42 Wendell Ave., Brockton at 9am. Burial in Union Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. Donations in Millie’s name may be made to the Brockton Public Library 304 Main St. Brockton, MA 02301.

Obituary

Mrs. Beaulieu died peacefully Tuesday afternoon at Bay Path Rehab and Nursing Center in Duxbury after a period of failing health. She was born in Brockton, a daughter of the late John J. and Mina G. (Perry) Brawders. She had been a resident of Brockton for many years and was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1937. Following graduation she worked as a presser for Coca Cola Bottling Company. She started her family in Providence, Rhode Island and then moved to Stoughton for a few years before returning to Brockton. Before her retirement she had been employed as a nurse’s aide at the Brockton VA Hospital for 27 years. Mrs. Beaulieu was an accomplished seamstress and her many friends and family members cherished her original handiwork. She enjoyed reading and visiting the Eastside Public Library. She had been a longtime communicant of Christ the King Parish (St. Colman Church).

She is survived by her children, Richard A. Beaulieu of Stoughton, Edmond A. Beaulieu of Marshfield and Joanne M. Hathaway of Mashpee, 7 grandchildren and 11great grandchildren. She also leaves a sister, Margaret Renaud of Whitman, a brother, Robert F. Brawders of Springfield and several nieces and nephews

She was the wife of the late Edmund Beaulieu and sister of the late Anastasia Darling and John G. Brawders, Jr.
