Dartmouth – Betty M. (Russell) Best, 75, of Dartmouth, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at home after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Robert A. Best.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Clinton T. and Glady H. (Reed) Russell, she had resided in Dartmouth for most of her life. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was the former town clerk and town treasurer of the Town of Dartmouth. Mrs. Best loved her home, gardening and crafts.
Survivors include a daughter: Nancy L. Best of Dartmouth; 2 brothers: Ralph Russell of California and Howard Russell of Maine; 1 aunt: Marjorie Scott of New Bedford; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was sister of the late Clinton Russell.

Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at South Dartmouth Cemetery at 10:00 A.M.
