Roland G. Desaulniers 94 formerly of Privilege St. died Tuesday in the Friendly Home in Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Bertha (Dumas) Desaulniers. Mr. Desaulniers was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Adolphe and Lea (Fournier ) Desaulniers. He was a pattern maker for the former J. Finklestein and Sons for twenty five years before retiring in 1974. He was an active member and volunteer for the former St. Ann’s and St Louis Churches.
Mr. Desaulniers is survived by a daughter Doris Belair of Queen Creek AZ, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Esdras, Victor, and Herve Desaulniers, Aurore Goyette, and Bertha Lapierre.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham, MA. Visiting hours are Friday 4-7 pm.
