Clarkson M. Gifford, Jr., 87, of Little Compton passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 at home. He was the husband of Hedwig M. "Wickie" (Faber) Gifford.
Born in Dartmouth, he was son of the late Clarkson M. Gifford, Sr. and the late Mary (Jordan) Gifford. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Gifford was a dedicated and hard worker and owner/operator of C.M. Gifford Plumbing, Inc. in Little Compton. He was an avid bowler and also a history buff.
Including his wife, survivors include a son: Kevin Gifford and his wife Cindy of Little Compton; a daughter: Vikki Tinkham of NH; a sister: Phyllis Bennett of Dartmouth; 6 grandchildren: Kandace, Kevin Jr., Austen, Masey, Maya and Ryley; 3 great grandchildren: Peter Jr., Grayson and Everly Mae; his best friend Brodie; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
