Obituary

SANBORNTON---George “Foxy” Alan Fox, Jr, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at home.

Born July 13, 1941 in Framingham, MA, he was the oldest son of George A. and Christina (Clark) Fox.

After graduating Manchester West, George served in the Coast Guard Reserve and went on to a long career as a lineman with New England Telephone, retiring at age 50. He spent his retirement traveling between NH, ME, and TX, bicycling around New England, and cruising in his beloved Mustang.

Throughout his life, “Foxy” enjoyed racing his modified race car, fishing throughout the northeast and relaxing lakeside watching the wildlife. George always had ‘the game’ on and was up for talking sports with anyone. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family and watching his children grow.

Family members include wife Verna (Koster) of Sanbornton; three sons, Michael Fox of Texas, Steven Fox and fiancé Lee Terry of Texas, and Brian Fox and wife Jennifer of New Boston; brother, Ronald Fox and wife Sandy of Alabama; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his daughter, Debra Hallman of Texas, and brother, Ray Fox.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 1:00 pm, at Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Granite VNA Hospice, 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
