Obituary

Marie A. Churchill, of Reading formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. She was 81. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine (Abisso) Milano.

Marie was raised and educated in Somerville. She worked for over twenty-five years for the City of Somerville prior to her retirement. Marie drew great strength and comfort from her strong Catholic faith and was an active parishioner at her church where she volunteered as a Sunday school teacher and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She also volunteered her time at the Reading Senior Center where she made many wonderful friendships. In her leisure time she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and needlepoint. However, her greatest joy was her family and spending time with her grandchildren nieces and nephews. Nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by those she loved.

Marie is survived by her beloved daughter, Maureen Corrado of Winchester. She was the loving grandmother of Bianca, Alana, and Mia Corrado, all of Winchester. Cherished sister of Patricia Citrano of Reading, Helen Staffieri and her husband Daniel of Wakefield. She is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Tuesday, August 3rd, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 514 High St., Medford, at 11:30 a.m. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Everett. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Marie’s memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923, www.caredimensions.org.
