Leon A. McDaniel, 79, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Frank Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County, Georgia, with Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in Frank Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
Mr. McDaniel was born October 3, 1941, in Oklahoma, to the late Obadiah & Roma McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a former employee of Lowell Packing in Fitzgerald and SEAPAK in Brunswick. Mr. McDaniel enjoyed watching the Atlanta Falcons play football. He was a member of Frank Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ann McDaniel of Ocilla; children: Tammy Harris of Florida, Tina Holly of Mississippi, Suzanne Renee Tucker of Ocilla, Willie Mark Whitlock, U.S. Army, Britney LeAnne McDaniel Smith of Abbeville and Preston McDaniel of Jesup; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one sister. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; two sister and a grandson, Troy Allen Harris.
