Michael Platsidakis, 61

Michael Platsidakis, age 61, of Norton, formerly of Foxborough and Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2021.
He is the loving son of Vasiliki Platsidakis of Central Falls, Rhode Island and the late son of Nikolaos Platsidakis. Born on October 2, 1959 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Michael moved to the United States with his family when he was 9 years old and resided in Central Falls, Rhode Island.
He graduated from Saint Raphael’s Academy in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island in 1981. Mike was very proud of his work as a software developer at Mixtroz where he was employed.
Mike was an avid reader and also enjoyed sharing his vast movie collection with family and friends. Mike also loved helping friends and family with home projects. His favorite pastime was physical fitness and he very much enjoyed family walks at Canoe River Trails.
Michael was a member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and also served on the Parish Council Board as past Treasurer. He always enjoyed helping out at the Annual Church Festival for many years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife, Dina Platsidakis, of 36 years and his devoted daughter, Maria Platsidakis, of Norton, MA. He also leaves behind his brother, Nikitas Platsidakis, and his wife, Chrysanthi, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, along with his nieces Vasiliki and Konstantina and nephew Nikolaos Platsidakis. He further leaves behind aunts and uncles along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
