Antonietta Cardinal, 95

Antonietta (Trotta) Cardinal, age 95, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home in Norton. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank L. Cardinal.
Born in Naples, Italy on April 16, 1926, she was a loving daughter of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Marone) Trotta.
Antonietta grew up and was educated in Italy. At the age of forty, she moved to the United States and for the past fifty years had made her home in Mansfield.
Mrs. Cardinal was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family and a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield. Throughout her life she maintained an active healthy lifestyle which included daily walks and trips to the gym. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and cleaning but most of all, she loved being a mom to her cherished family.
She is survived by her devoted children: Patrick Pisani and his wife Tracy of Bellingham, Salvatore Cardinal of Mansfield and Theresa Simonelli and her husband Robert of Marblehead. She was the treasured grandmother of Patrick and his wife Andrea, Salvatore, Rachel, Rebekah and the late Richard and the great grandmother of 3 great granddaughters and 5 great grandsons. She was pre-deceased by her dear 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Saturday, July 31st from 9:00 A.M- 10:30 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street., Mansfield.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 31st at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
