Raymond “Ray” Legare, 80, of North Smithfield, formerly a longtime resident of Woonsocket, died Thursday July 22, 2021 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Estelle (Robidoux) Legare. They were married on November 23, 1961.
Born and raised in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Donat and Mary Anne (Pouilot) Legare. He was a graduate of Mount Saint Charles Academy, Class of 1958. While working full-time Mr. Legare attended night classes at Bryant University and earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accounting.
In addition to his wife of 60 years Ray is survived by a son Norman “Norm” Legare and his wife Christine of Bellingham and two daughters Karen Fregeau and her husband David of Bellingham and Lynn Legare-Menard and her companion Rob Wodogaza of Johnston and his grandchildren Alyssa Legare-Lavoie and Tyler Legare. Ray was the brother of the late Robert, Roger, Laval and Hubert Legare and Lucille Moison.
At the request of the family services for Ray are private.
Arrangements are in care of the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
