Cynthia F. Bliss, 69

Wrentham, MA

Cynthia F. Bliss, age 69, of Wrentham, a former lifelong resident of Norton, passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston.

Born in Attleboro, MA on May 8, 1952, she was a loving daughter of the late Winthrop C. “Skip” and Ida V. (Bellavance) Bliss.

Cindi grew up in Norton and was a 1970 graduate of Norton High School. Prior to retiring, she had worked as a cashier at Stop & Shop in Attleboro and was previously employed for many years at Swank, Inc. in Attleboro. Following retirement, she volunteered her assistance at Nine Lives of Norton Feline Rescue Shelter and at Angelcat Haven Feline Rescue in Plainville.

A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton, she cherished the times spent with her adoring family. When younger, Cindi was an accomplished singer, appearing in many local musicals and was also an avid artist. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats and was like a second mother to her treasured nieces and nephew.

She is survived by her devoted son Eric P. Bliss and his wife Wendy, with whom she made her home in Wrentham. She was the loving grandmother of Kaitlyn, Joe and Mikayla and the great grandmother of Kelsey. She was the dear sister of Brian H. Bliss and his wife Jaye of Seekonk, Anne M. Boudreau and her husband Gary of Norton and the late William R. Bliss, who is survived by his wife Claudia Bliss of Attleboro. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephew.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, July 29th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 30th at 12:00 Noon in Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial will follow at the Norton Common Cemetery in Norton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Cindi’s memory may be made to the Angelcat Haven Feline Rescue, 127 South Street, Plainville, MA 02762.
