Maria I. DeSouza (84) of Stoughton died July 22nd at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Guarabira, PB, Brazil, daughter of the late Joao DeSouza and Santina (Elias) DeSouza. Maria was a tailor by trade and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Stoughton. She enjoyed soap operas, cooking for her family, going to church, spending time with her grandchildren and loved her dog “Tula”.
Maria is survived by her daughter Lidia DeSouza and husband Douglas Franco of Stoughton, 2 brothers, Jose Elias DeSouza and Luis Elias DeSouza both of Brazil, 3 grandchildren, Renato, Luana and Pedro Henrique.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday July 24th from 6-9 pm. Cremation to follow.
