Obituary

Joseph Golouski, 80, formerly of Capron Road, Smithfield, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary (Richards) Golouski.

He was a son of the late Frank and Caroline (Ciesla) Golouski and brother of the late Francis Golouski.

Joe was a graduate of Classical High School. He received his engineering degree from Brown University. He was employed by General Electric and later Brown and Sharpe.

Joe loved dancing and singing to country music. He was an avid golfer often playing with his friend Dan. He also loved traveling and dining at fine resturants. Joe especially enjoyed the Correia’s Annual Fourth of July outing and playing/winning Jarts.


Joe leaves his treasured friends; Tommy Hardiman and his family, his dearest companion and caretaker, Jean Marie Lombardi, his lifelong friends from Classical High School and Brown University: Dick and Beverly Lembo, Alfred and Margo Almonte and Ron and Joan DiPippo.

Joe’s infectious smile will always be remembered by all. A special thank you to the entire staff at The Village at Waterman Lake.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10am in St. Michael's Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation Friday 8:30-9:30am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023
