Bridgewater- Veno P. Ricci, 87, of Bridgewater died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Brockton Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Quincy, he was the son of the late Angelo and Mary (Tozzi) Ricci.
A lifelong resident of Bridgewater, Mr. Ricci worked in shipping and receiving for the Henry Perkins Co. in Bridgewater, until retirement.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, in the 4th Armored Division. He received the Purple Heart.
Mr. Ricci was a member of the Abington Old Town Post 5737 and Bridgewater Golden Ages.
He was a Notre Dame football fan and enjoyed all sports, collecting stamps and coins, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Ronald Ricci and his wife Tanyia of Bridgewater, Gary Ricci and his wife Patricia of N.H., and Diane King and her husband Steven of Halifax; his sister, Jenny Caparotta of California; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also brother to the late Raymond, Mario, Louis, Mando, Inis and Lorraine Ricci and former husband of the late Beverly I. Ricci.
Visiting hours in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Wednesday, March 29, from 5-7. Burial will be private.
