Obituary

Limington - Ruth S. Kendall, 93, of Limington died on July 15, 2021 at St. Andre's Healthcare in Biddeford. She was born in Limington on August 12, 1927, a daughter of George and Mildred (Thorne) Dearborn. She was educated in Limington schools and a 1945 graduate of Limington Academy.

She started her career at General Electric in Limerick, then went on to work at Casco Bank and Trust in Limerick for 25 years. After her "retirement" she worked for a few years at Something Special gift shop in North Windham.

Ruth was very talented at several different crafts. Sewing and crocheting were among her favorites and she taught a ceramics class for some time. She collected dolls and was also an accomplished artist, painting several paintings over the years.

Ruth loved to travel with her first husband and continued that with her second husband. She went on several cruises and visited every state except two. She also visited Europe as well.

Ruth was a member of the Limington Historical Society, and also the local Red Hat Society. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and all who knew her.

She is predeceased by her first husband, Roland "Johnnie" Arsenault, and her second husband, Leon "Peanut" Kendall. Surviving are her 2 brothers, Philip Dearborn and wife Julia of Limington, and Arthur Dearborn and wife Bonnie of Delray Beach, FL. Her sister, Patricia Dearborn of Limington. A stepson, Joe Kendall, his wife Donna, and his children Ryan and Angela. A stepdaughter, Connie Forbes and her children, Andrew, Ali and Alex. Also many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, July 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Poitras, Neal and York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at the South Limington Baptist Church at the corner of Moody Rd. and Rt. 117. Pastor Will Rankin will officiate.
