Maureen Duggan Petroni, age 71 of Canton, West Harwich, and Longboat Key, Fl., passed away July 17th at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she was raised in Braintree and graduated from Archbishop Williams High School, Massasoit Community College, and Katharine Gibbs School. Maureen was a devoted wife and mother and has lived in Canton since 1979.
Daughter of the late Edward M. and Eileen M. Duggan of Braintree. Beloved wife of Vincent F. Petroni. Mother of Brian D. Petroni and his wife Concetta of Wayland, Karin P. Monfredo and her husband Leonard of Hingham, Maryanne D. Royce and her husband Brandon of Wrentham, and Emily D. Petroni of Boston. Grandmother of Gianni, Mateo, Nico, and the late Leo Petroni, Rocco, Nicholas, and Angelo Monfredo, Caroline and Dominic Royce. Sister of Joanne Gooding and her husband David of Braintree, Edward M. Duggan, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Easton, Suzanne Duggan of Braintree, and the late William E. Duggan and Patricia Kincaid. Also survived by her four-legged grand dog Frankie. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St., Canton, Wednesday from 4-7 pm. Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, 700 Washington St., Canton, Thursday at 11 am.
