Ernest N. Whitaker, of Quincy, formerly of Canton passed away July 16th at home surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Dorchester and attended Boston schools and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was the Owner of Teltron Engineering Inc. in Foxboro for over 50 years. He lived life passionately cherishing every moment with his wife, children and grandchildren; a truly dedicated father and grandfather. Summers were spent in New Hampshire where he took great pleasure patiently teaching family, friends, relatives and neighbors to waterski. Winters were spent in Florida where he enjoyed his retirement years with his wife. There he spent many days golfing with his friends and enjoying the ocean. He was and always will be a blessing in the lives of those he touched

Father of Ernest “Ron” Whitaker and his wife Daria of Milton, Carol Downey and her husband James of Rockland, Dolores Johnson and her husband Steven of Foxboro, Joanne Colassi and her husband George of Norton and the late Richard “Ricky” Whitaker. Brother of the late Charles, Edgar, Lawrence, Elizabeth Neal, and Dorothy Ferolito. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
