Raffaella (Iarrobino) Latorella, 94, of Roslindale, passed away on the morning of Friday, July 16th. Raffaella was born January 10, 1927, in Taurasi, Italy and emigrated to the United States with her family in 1955.
She was the daughter of the late Flaminio and Rose (Colanton) Iarrobino and the beloved wife of the late Raffaele Latorella. Raffaella was the loving mother of Carmela Zwicker and her husband Guy of Seabrook NH, Antoinette Younis and her husband Joseph of Westwood, and John Latorella and his wife Joette of Dedham. She was predeceased by her brothers, Agostino, Charles, Carmine and Giuseppe larrobino, and her sisters Josephine Ferrone, Millie Pagnotta and Victoria larrobino as well as her grandson John Locapo. She had the fortune of enjoying her grandchildren; Carmelina and her husband Albert Cestrone, Louisa and her husband Mark Bailey, Jennifer Younis, Michelle Younis, Nicole and her husband Robert LaRosee, and Stephanie Latorella; and great-grandchildren; Amanda, Alexa and Ava Cestrone, Kaitlyn and Jessica Bailey, and Ruby LaRosee.
Raffaella enjoyed cooking for her family and was an avid gardener for many years working passionately in her vegetable and fruit gardens. As a faithful Catholic who prayed daily, she regularly attended mass at Sacred Heart Church in Roslindale and was especially devoted to Saint Anthony. Her family and friends will miss her smile, laugh and her homemade raviolis.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday July 20, 2021, from 9-11 AM at the Joseph Russo Funeral Home 814 American Legion Hwy, Roslindale followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Roslindale at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindal
