Barbara E. Harvey, 89, of Scituate, died Friday, July 16, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of the late Francis Harvey and longtime companion of the late Lester Carroll.
Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Marion (Guilmette) Knight. She had lived in Scituate for the past 66 years. Barbara had worked as the Director of Records at Johnson & Wales University for 28 years. She was a volunteer with the Audubon Society and Friends of the Scituate Animal Shelter.
She is survived by her children: Marcia Coy and her husband, Charles of Sweetwater, TN, Susan Harvey of CT, Karen Previte of Scituate, her grandchildren: Peter and Ciana Previte, her niece Bonnie Knight of VA and her nephew Keith Mattson of FL. She was the sister of the late Madeline Mattson and Joan Knight.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at noon in Oakland Cemetery, Coventry.
