Obituary

Loretta M. McInnis, of Wakefield, formerly of Medford, July 14th. She was born on November 18th, 1935. Beloved wife of the late Louis J. McInnis. Loving mother of Sarah Hanron and her husband David of Wakefield, Maureen Appleyard and her husband Joseph of Reading, Kevin McInnis of Wakefield, Darren McInnis and his wife Debi of Melrose and Thomas McInnis and his wife Melissa of Medford. Grandmother of John, James, Brian, Michael, Amanda, Lauren, Meryn, Ainsley and Isla. Sister of Sandra Steen and her husband James of Boston and the late Betty Ann Bourque and Isabella O’Connell. Daughter of the late Richard F. Jamieson and Loretta Curtis Jamieson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family would like to thank niece Kathleen Faust for her loving care. She was also survived by many cousins living here and in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Loretta was raised in Medford. She is a graduate of Girls Catholic High School in Malden. For many years, Loretta was a dedicated parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Medford. She was actively involved with the St. Francis of Assisi Mother’s Club during the time her children attended the St. Francis of Assisi Parish School. Loretta was also a former member of the Irish American Association Ladies Auxiliary in Malden for many years. First and foremost, she was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved spending summers on Prince Edward Island in Canada with her family. Her family is deeply appreciative of the care that was given to her by Care Dimensions Hospice. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Tuesday July 20th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West., Medford at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday July 19th from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Program, c/o Children’s Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115.
