Obituary


WEST BALDWIN- “Randy” Randolph W. Sanborn, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2021.
He was born in Portland, Maine on April 21, 1949, a son of the late Daniel and Mabel (Smith) Sanborn.

After attending Fryeburg Academy, Randy proudly enlisted into the US Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the 87th Engineers Battalion. After being honorable discharged from the Army, Randy spent most of his working years as a truck driver.

He will always be remembered for the enjoyment he had hunting and car racing with his son Matthew at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Randy was a member of the VFW and DAV.

He is survived by his beloved wife Carol (Smith) Sanborn; a son- Matthew Sanborn and his companion Kayla Frye of Hermon; siblings- Alvin Sanborn and his wife Nancy, and Mildred Bliss all of West Baldwin; and a granddaughter- Lydia Sanborn.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 16, from 1 – 3 PM at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. A graveside service with US Army Honors will follow at the New West Baldwin Cemetery, Rt. 113 near the Baldwin Town Hall.
